Mark Sigal of the famed O’Reilly conglomerate suggest that perhaps we have all been deceived. So much so that the revered Personal Computer (PC) is really a misnomer since the introduction of the iPhone.

While studying for a class the other night, I opened up Netflix to stream a movie in the background (real good idea, right?!), and low-and-behold, what did Netflix recommend to me? “Welcome to Macintosh”!
This immediately reminded me of my days as a computer and network technician in a nearby school district, when I actually worked on Apple units (System 6/7/8 and 9– from Apple II, IIe, Mac Classics and some of the newer G3 and G4 units). I seem to recall that the Mac Classic booted with ‘Welcome to Macintosh’ when it booted.
Anyway– I didn’t think this would be any news until I jumped over to a Mac cult site and it reported this as being available on iTunes! Wow! Being relatively new to the Mac scene (as a regular user), I was a little bit surprised that this was news! Well, since it is, I’m piling on!
“Welcome to Macintosh” is now available on Netflix!!

Welcome to MacZealot.com! If you like UNIX with a rocking window manager (like Apple’s Aqua), then you’ve got to try Mac OS X. Certainly, it’s not as hard core as UNIX with an X11.org manager, and a little less than Linux. However, it is UNIX underneath, complete with your favorite shell (bash by default).
